P 1: A Step inside Korean Culture - Gyeongbokgung Palace - National Folk Museum - Jogyesa Temple
Gyeongbokgung Palace was built in 1395 by King Taejo, the founder of Joseon Dynasty as the primary residence for the royal family. Among the five palaces in Seoul, it is the largest and most beautiful in architectural style. The National Folk Museum, located in the Gyeongbokgung Palace demonstrates Korean social and traditional life style, such as religious rituals, housing, clothing, food and the social dynamics of traditional Korean life. The Jogyesa Temple is one of the largest Buddhist temples to be found within the city limits.
P2: Royal Palace and Antique Street (Changdok Palace-Secret Garden- Insadong Antique Street)
Discover the charms of ancient royal palace and garden in this tour. Changdeok Palace, the most successfully preserved palace, was built during the reign of Taejong, the third King of the Joseon Dynasty in 1405. It is best known for its beautiful garden for the royal family, Huwon (¡°Secret Garden¡±) with its superb landscape with pavilions, ponds and wooded areas. Feel the royal family strolling around the house and garden. Insadong Antique Street is simply the place in Seoul for tourists wanting to experience traditional Korea. This area is especially good to find antiques and about 70 art galleries are located along the narrow ally. Flea market sets up in the streets with people peddling their antiques, accessories, and artwork.
